1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Fairway Escapes website (fairwayescapes.co.uk), operated by Fairway Escapes Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Scotland (company number SC870126), registered office 144 Nethergate, Dundee, Scotland, DD1 4EB. By using the site you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. How booking works

This website is for information and enquiries. The terms that apply to your stay — including price, payment, any deposit and cancellation — depend on where you book:

• Booking directly with us — through our own booking system (powered by Hostaway) via the “Check Availability” page: the rates, payment terms and cancellation policy shown to you at the time of booking apply, and form your booking contract with Fairway Escapes Ltd.
• Booking through another platform — such as Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo: that platform’s own terms, payment and cancellation policy apply to your booking. Please read them before you book.

Whichever route you book through, the house rules below apply to your stay. Because the property is booked for specific dates, the statutory 14-day “cooling-off” cancellation right does not apply — cancellations are handled under the cancellation policy that applied to your booking.

3. House rules

These apply to every guest, however you book. The lead guest must be 18 or over and is responsible for everyone in the party and for their conduct during the stay.

• Guest numbers — the property sleeps up to 8; please don’t exceed the number of guests on your booking without agreeing it with us first.
• Check-in / check-out — check-in from 4pm; check-out by 11am.
• Minimum stay — normally 2 nights, unless otherwise agreed.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the property.
• Pets — welcome by prior arrangement; please ask before you book.
• No parties or events beyond your booked group, and please be considerate of neighbours.
• Look after the property — including the golf simulator and cabin — and report any damage or problems to us promptly.

We may add to or update these house rules, and provide further guest information (for example check-in details and how things work), before or during your stay.

4. Damage and your responsibilities

You’re responsible for the property and its contents during your stay and for any loss or damage caused by your party (beyond fair wear and tear). We may recover reasonable costs for damage, missing items or extra cleaning required as a result. We (or the property manager) may need access to the property for emergencies or urgent maintenance, and will give reasonable notice where practical.

5. Using the website

You agree to use the site lawfully, and not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt it, or use it to break any law.

6. Our content

All content on this site — text, branding, the Fairway Escapes name and logo, images and design — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view it for personal, non-commercial use, but may not copy, reproduce or reuse it without our permission.

7. Links to other sites

Our site (including our local guide) links to third-party websites — golf courses, restaurants, attractions and booking partners. These are provided for convenience; we don’t control or endorse them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices.

8. Accuracy of information

We take care to keep the site accurate, but information — including local guide details, distances, opening times and course information — is provided for general guidance “as is” and may change. Always confirm important details (e.g. tee times, opening hours) directly with the relevant provider.

9. Our liability

To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We’re not responsible for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Your rights in relation to a booking are governed by the applicable booking platform’s terms and by law.

10. Complaints

If something isn’t right, please tell us as soon as possible — ideally during your stay — so we have the chance to put it right. Email us at info@fairwayescapes.co.uk.

Our use of your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always shown on this page.
